HeartSaver CPR and AED Courses

The HeartSaver Program
The American Heart Association offers a variety of lifesaving courses as part of its HeartSaver program. These courses provide basic life support training including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and first aid to choking victims. HeartSaver classes are available to a variety of people in the community--- police officers, firefighters, flight attendants, security guards, special event staff, new parents and those who simply want to be prepared for an emergency.

HeartSaver AED
The HeartSaver AED course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and the use of an AED, including how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies---heart attach, stroke, cardiac arrest, and foreign body airway obstruction (choking).

HeartSaver CPR
The HeartSaver CPR course is a modular course that teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child and infant victims.

HeartSaver FACTS
The HeartSaver FACTS course adult CPR and the use of AED with basic level fist aid procedures.
